I'm interested to know who has downloaded and tried any mental health apps. I've done some research on them (some of them charge a monthly fee of $99 which is inappropriate and seemingly exploitative when the average person with a mental illness cannot afford on top of bills and costs associated with consulting mental health specialists)

Great question @Peter_Pan78.  I am horrified to learn they are charging such prices.

I dont do apps full stop, but I am doing a free online course which is fine.

Hi there,

I haven't found any apps but I've used mycompass.org.au

I did a few of their 'modules' and although quite basic they were still good.

The main thing I use the site for now is to track my mood. It's very helpful when I go to the doctor to be able to show a graph of how my depression has been going.

Thanks Jacques. I haven't used apps myself either, but I'd love to design a free mental health app with the help of people with lived experience. I'm not IT trained but would love to work with someone in IT to make it happen. Maybe if an app was designed by someone with lived experience it would be more user friendly and relevant.
