Re: Tabaluga's 2.0

That is so great to hear @GezzaP

Re: Tabaluga's 2.0

@StuF @GezzaP  I'm sometimes shocked at things read onO/S new sites, ie that they dont get in the news at all here. Also shocked at the questions King Donald I  gets asked , for all its faults, re USA,no one here would dare ask questions like some do there okay and paythe price for it now

Re: Tabaluga's 2.0

Sorry to butt in my dear @GezzaP but I really enjoy reading your posts. I am so sorry for the brutal loss of your friend.

The Mexicans have the right idea regarding meals.

There's an English saying that goes "breakfast like a king, eat lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper."

My grandmother always served a large meal at lunch and then a light dinner, even when mum and her sisters were at school. Pop always came home for lunch when he was in town (he was a long distance truckie).

What an amazing experience for you AND them. Something you will always remember.

I envy you your travel experiences! I've done the usual Indonesia/Thailand/Singapore and spent 3 months in North America but sadly that is all. I am grateful for those experiences but there are so many other countries I'd l9ve to visit.

Please sharing your experiences! 🫂❤️

It's heaps healthier than to have a big meal at night.

Re: Tabaluga's 2.0

@ENKELI  I was lucky all these travels and experiences were job related. I paid for some of it, but could claim on tax. Also claimed home office and depreciation on computer, books and videos, dvds, cds and tapes.

Spent  4 days on a river boat in Borneo to see Orang-Utans. Went to Jakarta and Bandung. Haven’t been to Bali even though one of my former students lived there. I abhor resort places. Saw ex-students. One who did his Master’s dissertation with me and a favourite died of a brain tumor years ago. I seem to bring bad luck.

My brother-in-law died of cancer too. Over 10 years ago., My sister is still grieving and is a miserable old cow. She isn’t talking to me and has disowned me. I lost my temper at her, but she didn’t respond. She is a b… and our relationship is toxic most of the time. Not sure how I survived 6 weeks with her in NZ. Lost my cool a few times and so did she, but mostly we got along ok. My psychologist has said to cut off contact but I don’t want to. I need her sometimes. I also miss her even though she’s a b..;

Oh well such is life. I don’t expect to hear from her on my birthday late this month, but will send her birthday wishes on 20th Dec.
