New Years Eve - Thought, Dreams and Prayers

Re: New Years Eve - Thought, Dreams and Prayers

I have heard that the numbers are very high at the moment too! @Sophia1 I was convinced that I was going to catch it alongside my partner, but luckily escaped it (still don't know how I managed that one but very grateful).

Me too, I was glad to get into the new year and have that 'fresh start' feeling. It was all getting a bit much towards the end of the year and I just needed a bit of a refreshed feeling. That sounds like a lovely night.

Have you been up to much today?

Re: New Years Eve - Thought, Dreams and Prayers

That's very quick work, great job! Was there a lot to get done? @Dimity

You can keep up the momentum, I believe in you!!

Re: New Years Eve - Thought, Dreams and Prayers

Well there was more than I'd been able to manage by myself @amber22 ... but hopefully 2023 will be better.

Hope 2023 is a good year for you and @Sophia1 despite the slow start, hope your partners bounce back quickly.

Re: New Years Eve - Thought, Dreams and Prayers

I hope that 2023 is better for you, sending you lots of love and strength for the year moving forward @Dimity

Re: New Years Eve - Thought, Dreams and Prayers

Hi Everyone @Dimity @TAB @Shaz51 @Appleblossom @ArraDreaming

I had a really quiet New Years, but have lots of time to think about the year to come. And I’d like to have it all!  Why not, I say… Shouldn’t we all?😊

So far I’ve continued to indulge in my love of walking. Did and old favourite on a mountain. And then did an entirely new hike in a track that had a mix of rainforest and just the plain old bush. Spectacular and utter bliss.

I’ve also taken the time to watch the television…sat through an old movie called Parenthood. It’s years since I saw it and it was wonderful.

Apart from that, have been ploughing my way through a jigsaw. I’ve put off doing it for years because I knew it would hurt. I nearly packed it up a number of days ago but I’m now around 2/3 of the way there.

And now there's an interesting space in my fridge and freezer that I’ll need to finds ways to fill. The options are endless…

Take care everyone!

Beautiful to hear from you @Delicatessen

Walking into the future together  ... knowing a little of where we have come from ... but leaving the past in the past.

I am trying to make "make it to the water" a few times per month.  I am nearish .. a river and the beach.

Re: New Years Eve - Thought, Dreams and Prayers

I missed your reply yesterday @amber22

Am here now though.

Never too late my philosophy is.

It is hard enough to keep up with text messages and voicemails in real life sometimes.

Still lovely for you to take the time nevertheless.

Yes I would be exactly the same if my husband or sons had covid.

My husband's extended family including babies have all had it. One baby twice.

They are very laissez faire.

My concern is long time side effects.

Up to much...hmm

Catching up on needed phone call replies so not exciting stuff no..

I am making every effort to get out into the garden again today.

Yesterday when I went outside a noisy digger next door working on her soil brought me back in eventually.

I was also having to answer phone calls.

Am hoping today the machine has returned to it's home.

It will be nice once her garden is planted though.

I know that mine brings me so much peace, joy and grounding.

Despite the pesky weeds!

What are you up to?

Please bear in mind that I might not get back to your answer for I have no idea.

I will get back eventually though.

Enjoy your day whatever you are doing

Re: New Years Eve - Thought, Dreams and Prayers

So lovely to hear from you @Sophia1

Yes I am also concerned about the long term effects, I've heard that some people even get long covid where the effects can last for months or even a year.

I think that it's great that you are being out in your garden today. Do you do much gardening? I find it quite therapeutic when I can get myself into it and the weather is nice. It's been a bit too hot to do any here for my recently.

I'm not up to much today, just working and tonight I am going to dinner with a friend.
