Share a cuppa?

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hi @Meowmy, I'm coming home from a Balmain Sinfonia concert. It was really good! Borodin, Khachaturian, Saint Saens, Delibes and Tchaikovsky. All ballet music!

Re: Share a cuppa?

I really wish there were more accessible alternatives for students who are disengaged from school @ArraDreaming - as much as I wish for this, I'm not sure it will happen in Australia in my lifetime....

Re: Share a cuppa?

There is a few things but I don’t think they really do the job @tyme

Re: Share a cuppa?

and then people say well why don’t they just listen and do school like everyone else and that makes me annoyed

Re: Share a cuppa?

Arghhh I hear you @ArraDreaming - now it's the waiting game to see how your boys go.

I just want people to know that if they or their children do not complete school the way 'normal' kids do, it doesn't mean they have failed.

As I said, I wish there were alternatives for me when I was younger. I would have benefitted so much more.

Re: Share a cuppa?

@Abner hey there glad you enjoyed nice music. Take care

Heya @Bow !

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hey @tyme  how r u?

Re: Share a cuppa?

A lot of my siblings are in non mainstream school, from what I know of @tyme it’s meant to be helpful

even my sister said she got to do nearly 3 days out of her mainstream school each week to work on hands on stuff, so even in regular school there are options

I was thinking about this today when I was getting frustrated over trying to work out how to operate a new tool in the garden, because I googled and all the instructions were on YouTube!

1. I don’t have the time, nor the patients to sit through your boring introduction before you tell me how to work this thing

2. they speak too quickly

3. some of us learn by visuals, PICTURES, small steps I can take on my own in my own time without someone rushing through each step, I hate having to pause, let me read how to do it

we all learn so differently, but can we stop with the YouTube tutorials
