All the best for your procedure @MissinTooth - I am sorry you are doing it alone. I hope you are able to get some good sleep tonight and maybe give Luna a big cuddle as I'm sure she'll be barracking for you.
I don't know if this is helpful but I had both my cancer surgeries under general anaesthesia by myself. Drove my car to near the hospital, took public transport for couple of stops to hospital and then had an acquaintance pick me up, because you can't leave without another person after a general and then they drove me to my car and I drove myself home with my bandages and drains in place and looked after myself until review with surgeon in rooms, drove myself there and back. It wasn't ideal but it was successful.
