Re: A long rave
Ha ha @greenpea Girls like to play in the mud sometimes too. Cant believe every nursery rhyme ya hear.!
@eth Thanks. It will be a long path with twists and truns, but it made sense. My psychologist was frightened there wouldbe another major crisis. We will take a step at a time. It simply makes a difference when we know what our child is struggling with. If kept in the dark, and just have to shoulder random blowouts without context, its more difficult, and a waste of time, resources and love and life.
@TAB I knew wotcha meant. You like to be the witty one and chipper. There are times in everyone's life when that aint possible. Still you wont regret giving up cigs and I hope other stuff rolls along alright for you. You gave me quality attention for a while and I made the most of it. Off to rocknroll camp today.
I am used to getting by on an oily rag.
That said I had a great "rider" conversation at the party and saw an amazing folio with half human half critter drawings like your pic. I suggested he also spend time at the zoo and get some real life input. The artist liked that idea.
Cheers ALL
Gotta go

@Adge A lawyer!! Wow I can see you with someone a bit more artsy but maybe she was a lawyer specialising in cases which are not driven by money. Anyway it is always interesting to meet new people good on you Adge 🙂

Re: A long rave
Thanks @greenpea Yes I think corporate & legal people are a bit too pressured, & stressing for me.
An arty of creative-type person would be wonderful, & might bring out my "creative side" more.
Maybe a hippie-type.
I'm slightly a wannabe hippie, who very sadly missed out on the optimistic hippie era.

Re: A long rave
Hey @greenpea I've just been watching episodes of Harrow again. One more and I've seen the whole series. I think it's really well done, plus it has an interesting cast.
@Adge if you want any tips on hippy-ness just ask me!! I was very much that way for a few decades. Got a bit more main-stream in outer appearance while I was living in Darwin - it's a very red neck place in many respects and I was sick of hearing the expression 'dirty hippy' which is not true in most cases. But I'm still a hippy at heart. Just don't smoke pot any more! N.B. not a hipster!!!

Re: A long rave
@Appleblossom sounds like quite a breakthrough with your son. My adult child had full-on random blowouts for several years before and after they left home and I'm still finding out more about what was really going on for them. As they find the language to articulate and the desire to share with me. (Now 30 years old).

Re: A long rave
@eth really big thank you for your kind reply to my vent before I went out today. I really appreciate it ❤
I was very much dreading the idea of going out today but am so glad we did. There were lots of kids at the park but only a small group of four parents from the school there with our kids (which came to quite a few) at the party. The kids ran around really happily and the four of us chatted a lot about a lot. It was 'heart feels good for it' stuff. We've gained an extra for the afternoon who is having lots of fun playing creative mess making with the two of mine I have here.
I have to push myself to do more of that kind of thing. I dont know if it is med change, life in general or nothing behind it in particular, but I can feel what feels a lot like depressed kind of feelings creeping in and things like that seem to help keep them from overtaking entirely. It's annoying that depressed kind of feelings make doing things like that difficult though!
@Adge also adding to those saying well done on getting out and giving it a go. I hope you find colourful and quirky company that feels good for you soon 😊
Waving a hi to @outlander from earlier and a general 👋 to anyone who might be around to see it 🙂
