@SmilingGecko Can’t remember brand of battery. Lasts up to 24 hours. If no power after that I suffer but long outages are vrry rare here.

@Dreamy hey there lovely 🙂
A quiet one for me. I am getting quotes for roof repair, so far it's looking like a $25 000 job. I'll just go pluck the money off the tree out back. Ha!
How do everyday people pay for these things? Seriously!

Was it a planned outage or unplanned @StuF? We had a planned water outage last month on a Monday then a car accident or some other event caused both a water outage and electrical outage at the same time on the Friday in the same week!!! The water outage lasted 3 hours and the electrical outage was 6 hours. Ridiculous! Luckily I has AUSNET and water notifications on my phone. They kind of offer info so you know whats going on but the info is obviously limited but they do show the region affected by outages

Hiya @SmilingGecko
It was planned - 10 hours - they were fixing overhead power lines in our street. At least it was quite a mild day weather wise 🙂
