I self-diagnosed as ADHD over a few years as a dawning realisation that I have so many of the traits became obvious. I procrastinate starting projects, then do them in a rush at the last minute. I was showing my watercolour teacher that I had started many pictures but only ever completed one out of dozens started. Likewise I exhibit demand avoidance: I find it hard to start activities I really want to do!
With the growing awareness of neurodivergence has come a parallel increase in online scams typically showing you how to use calendars for tasks, events, and reminders, email. I forked over $75 for one, lost the money, and didn't receive the promised goods.
So could anyone advise me of any fair-dinkum system worth looking at that they use themselves with some comments about its merits and deficiencies?

Hey @theHedster
I just wanted to pop by and welcome you to the forums
While I can't speak to this from my own lived experience, I look forward to hearing what others have found that's been helpful for them

Hiya @theHedster welcome!! I've got oodles of ADHD and always happy to yammer on about it hehe.
Totally rough that you got scammed!! It's hard hey, especially when a lot of the coping strategies and stuff that are popular for neurotypicals aren't always suitable for our brains.
First off, feel free to share your query over on our ADHD thread! Bunch of us over there and many members are quite knowledgeable!
Secondly, for some online resources I've found helpful:
ADDitude - online 'magazine' about all things ADHD
Russell Barkley - one of world leading psychiatrists for ADHD
The Three Pillars - non-DSM conceptualisations of ADHD (pt. 1, pt. 2, pt. 3)
How To ADHD - my fav ADHD youtuber
Hope this helps you in finding some more suitable resources - and please feel free to tag me if you wanna chat!
