Re: Winter solstice

But my family situation continues to disappoint. --- sorry about this my friend xx

sending you tender hugs @Dimity

Re: Winter solstice

It's cold and dark. But today I noticed my spring bulbs are starting to emerge.

Re: Winter solstice

So pleased about your spring bulbs! Ours aren't out yet. @Dimity

Re: Winter solstice

@NatureLover @Shaz51 big gardening afternoon. My most supportive family member pruned my roses and I made the hard decision to say goodbye to three of them. One was dying, one had ferocious thorns and one had never thrived but will be missed as its infrequent flowers were wonderful  with a gorgeous fruity scent.

I have lots of plants in pots waiting to go into the back garden but I'm waiting on the fence repair and nandina removal. A few might go into the front garden instead.

The grapefruit are dropping. I have lots but don't feel up to making marmalade this year.

Re: Winter solstice

Oooh, grapefruit marmalade is my favourite marmalade! But it's a lot of effort so I totally understand why you don't want to make it!

Well done on your gardening effort. I'm appreciating the increase in light morning and evening.

Re: Winter solstice

Yes it’s that time of year again. Winter Solstice. @Dimity I just love how your posts reflect similar ways of thinking to me, about my garden.

Hey @Shaz51 @Patches59

Re: Winter solstice

This post may disappear overnight.

I'm struggling to draft advance care directives and deal with legal stuff. Extreme pressure of different kinds from 3 or more different family factions. They don't want me to have a medical procedure until it's done. And I need legal advice on other stuff for my own sanity.

Re: Winter solstice

That sounds so heavy, @Dimity 😣

And I'm so sorry about the extreme pressure from your family factions 😥

Thinking of you as you try to resolve it all 🫂
