Re: Q&A Info Session // What not to say to someone who has a MI // 11 - 15 Sep
Sorry, I'm a late arrival. What not to say to someone with a MI. Hmmm...let's see:
- Once you get your degree you'll be right (yep, that one led me to waste twelve years of my life!!!!).
- Everybody has some mental health issues (interestingly, a variant of this is a major issue in the autistic community too - people being told "everybody is a little autistic").
- You seem pretty normal to me (again, an issue in the autistic community).
- Grow up.
- You need to start taking some responsibility for yourself.
- You are so manipulative (after a bazillion years of being told this, I still don't actually know what it means to be manipulative ).
- You need to calm down.
