Hi there,
I'm.new here too... the subject is me plus more; its taken me a long life time to realise that I disassociate. That mixed with procrastination and there's not much time to put to self care to prevent the cycle.

I can relate to how you feel about taking time to realise you disaccosiate, the isolation you have been experiencing and substance misuse. I am diagnosed with schizophrenia and I didn't realise my delusions were not real and it took a while to realise I was hearing voices. It took 9 years actually and I believed that I was being investigated and was very paranoid.
I experienced a lot of isolation due to losing my friends due to my MH and people not seeing who I was then. I misused a lot of substances for about 10 years and it actually contributed to my declining MH over time.
I understand that self-care can be challenging at times and I am curious what you would do if you could manage it? I like to listen to music and hang out with my friends when I can and recently I have been watching Netflix as I couldn't do it before because I found it triggering.

I think if I had motivation I'd exercise more because I think it make an impact. If I had more time I'd do more craft, garden and train my dog. I write creatively however I actually think k it can bring stuff up that has negative impacts.
Hopefully I can find some more focus soon to do more.
