Hi @CSD , welcome! As long as you're 18 or over I believe all are welcome 😊
I also have a history of chronic depression.
Happy to chat about whatever you would like - whether its a distraction or about what's on your mind and feelings or situational.

Hey @CSD, thanks for joining the Forums and being part of our community!
It sounds like you might have been going through depression for a bit lately and I can really relate as I have had my own fair share of it. I am diagnosed with schizophrenia and had many other life challenges.
I'm happy that you have found the SANE Forums and hope that you feel comfortable with your peers. We are very pleased to have you here!
Take a good look around and see if there are any threads that you'd like to post in!
Take care

Just wondering if a feeling of emptiness will completely disappear forever. I have professional people around me.. I just wonder sometimes.
I kept my depression to myself for many yrs, absolutely no one knew until late 2012.. I've been ok in recent months, but just this past wk I've started to feel some emptiness..

I don't know if you had a look at the SANE website @CSD but we have a program that you might find supportive. It's the Guided Recovery proram, which is 15 weeks of support with a Peer Support Worker or Counsellor.
Please check out the Guided Service here - Welcome to SANE’s Guided Recovery Whenever you are ready, you can chat to SANE’s mental health support workers who can assist with a referral, simply call 1800 187 263 or chat on the webchat at sane.org and let them know that you were referred from forums. They can help you with questions and check things like whether you have enrolled before or not. They're available 10am – 8pm Mon-Fri.
It can be reeally benefical to speak with someone about what we go through. I have used crisis support services a lot over the years and find it helpful to talk about what I'm going through.
Please let us know if you have any thoughts or questions!
Take care

What does emptiness feel like for you @CSD ?
Are there any thoughts that go along with the feeling? (Other than the wonder if it will ever disappear completely)
